I have no idea what to wear. Will you help?

Absolutely! You won't be left with a vague "wear neutrals" suggestion and sent on your way. I'll help style your entire family and send you actual links to pieces that photograph beautifully together. Wardrobe is a huge part of creating the finished look, and I'll guide you through all of it.

We're awkward in front of the camera. what do we do?

Perfect! You don't need to know how to pose- that's my job. I'll tell you where to stand, where to put your hands, what to do and when to move. Most of the time I'll give you something to do rather than asking you to hold a pose. You just need to show up and trust me.

can we get a few photos looking at the camera and smiling?

Of course. My work focuses heavily on connection, movement and the moments happening between you, but I know Grandma wants one for her wall and you may want one for the Christmas card. We'll make sure we get a few of those too.

what if my partner hates having photos taken?

They're in good company. Sessions aren't two hours of smiling at me while I move everyone's hands an inch as a time. I keep things moving and give you something to actually do with the people you love. They may still not become a person who loves photos- but I am not going to torture them either.

What if my kids won't cooperate?

They don't need to. Kids are allowed to be kids here. They can run, explore, need a snack, cling to you or decide they're completely over it. I'll work with them instead of trying to force them into perfect behavior. Some of the best photographs happen in the middle of the chaos.

what is your photography style?

I like things a little wild, a little messy and real. Windblown hair, bare feet, wrinkled dresses, kids being kids and families wrapped up in each other. You don't need perfect hair, a full face of makeup or children who look freshly combed and polished.
I'm not interested in perfect poses or spending your session asking everyone to look at me and smile. I want movement. Connection. The quiet moments and the chaotic ones. I want the wind in your hair and your kids climbing all over you.
Expect rich creamy tones, a little mood and photographs that feel more like art than traditional family portraits.

when is the best time to schedule maternity photos?

I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 30 to 36 weeks. Every pregnancy is different, though, so we'll choose a date that feels right for you.

when should i book my newborn session?

It's best to reach out during your pregnancy so we can get you on my calendar before baby arrives. Because my newborn sessions are relaxed and lifestyle focused, we aren't racing against a tiny newborn window. I typically photograph newborn sessions within the first two to six weeks, giving your family time to settle in while baby is still wonderfully little.

Can i purchase more images, prints or an album?

Absolutely! Every session includes 20 artistically edited digital images, with the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to the full gallery. Fine art prints and albums are also available if you'd like something tangible made from your photographs.
